Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This policy explains what information Caelana collects, why, and what you can do about it.

Who we are. Caelana is operated by Caelana, 14173 Northwest Fwy, Unit #2046, Houston, TX 77040, United States. For anything in this policy, email hello@caelana.com.

What we collect

When you fill in a form

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your website URL, if you give it
  • Whatever you write in the message field

When you visit the site

If you accept analytics in our cookie banner:

  • Pages you viewed and how long you stayed
  • Approximate location, derived from your IP address at country or city level
  • Device and browser type
  • How you arrived — search engine, referring link, or advertisement
  • An anonymous identifier that lets us recognise a repeat visit

If you decline, we collect none of this. Google Analytics is not loaded at all — no script is fetched, no request is made to Google, and nothing about your visit is sent anywhere.

When you become a client

  • Business details you provide during onboarding
  • Brand assets, product photography and files you upload
  • Access permissions to your Pinterest or Meta business accounts
  • Billing records — but not your card number, which only Stripe sees

What we never collect

We do not collect Social Security numbers, government identification, health information, biometric data, or precise location. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Why we collect it

We do not sell your personal information. We have never sold it and we have no plans to.

Cookies and tracking

We use a small number of tracking tools. Our Cookie Policy lists each one, what it stores and for how long.

In short:

  • Necessary cookies keep the site working and remember your cookie choice. These cannot be turned off.
  • Google Analytics 4 measures site usage. Loads only if you accept.
  • Meta Pixel and Conversions API measure whether our Facebook and Instagram advertising works, and may be used to show you our ads elsewhere. Loads only if you accept.

You can change your choice at any time from our Cookie Policy, which has a button that reopens the banner.

We honour the Global Privacy Control browser signal. If your browser sends it, we treat it as a request to opt out of targeted advertising, and you will not need to do anything else.

We share information only with service providers who help us operate. Each one processes it on our instructions.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know what we hold about you
  • Get a copy of it
  • Correct anything inaccurate
  • Delete it, subject to records we must keep by law
  • Opt out of targeted advertising
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these

To exercise any of these, email hello@caelana.com. We will respond within 45 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so we do not hand your information to someone else.

If we decline a request, we will tell you why, and you may appeal by replying to that email.

If you are in Texas

The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act gives you the rights above. If you believe we have not handled a request properly, you may complain to the Texas Attorney General.

If you are in California

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. You retain the rights listed above.

If you are in Mexico

See our Aviso de Privacidad, which sets out your ARCO rights — access, rectification, cancellation and opposition — as required under Mexican law.

How we protect it

  • The site is served over HTTPS.
  • Client account credentials, where they exist at all, are held in an encrypted password manager. We prefer platform partner access, which requires no password.
  • Access to client accounts is limited to what the work requires and removed when the work ends.
  • We do not store card numbers. Stripe handles payment data under its own security standards.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you and any required authority as the law requires.

Children

This site is for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, email hello@caelana.com and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy materially, we will update the date above and, for active clients, send an email. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
